We are known for our responsive service, fast turnaround times, clear reporting and professional candidate experience.About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and professional Medical Assistant to join our corporate health team in Queanbeyan.This is a full-time, on-site role focused primarily on pre-employment medical assessments and ongoing workplace health surveillance.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Welcoming candidates and explaining the assessment processPreparing candidates and examination roomsTaking and accurately recording vital signsConducting delegated testing, including audiometry, spirometry and vision screeningCompleting drug and alcohol screeningRecording medical histories and assessment results accuratelyMaintaining confidential electronic medical recordsAssisting clinicians with pre-employment and occupational health assessmentsSupporting appointment coordination and general medical administrationHelping provide a professional, respectful and consistent experience for candidates and clientsFull training will be provided in our occupational health procedures, testing equipment and reporting systems.About YouYou will ideally have:Previous experience in a medical practice, healthcare, allied health or similar environmentExperience taking vital signs and preparing patients or candidates for assessmentsStrong administrative and computer skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAn understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirementsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamA professional, calm and respectful approach when working with candidatesExperience in occupational health, pre-employment medicals, audiometry, spirometry or drug and alcohol screening would be highly regarded but is not essential, as training will be provided.This role would suit someone who enjoys a combination of clinical testing, administration and direct interaction with candidates and employers.
